Chamber Players Course

Two of our students, Michael Chi and Lisa Luong, went on a Chamber Players Course this summer - here is a little more about it in Lisa's own words.

Chamber Players"The Chamber Players course was an amazing opportunity for me to improve my playing skills and also to socialise with other young musicians. It was held in All Saint’s Church in West Dulwich. The venue was perfect as it had a number of rooms available for us to play in.

I met loads of incredibly talented musicians during the course and had made friends with some of them. I was shy at first not knowing what was going to happen but as the days go, I had felt more confident and knew that I wanted to continue.

The tutors there were very helpful and friendly to everyone. I had learnt alot from not only the tutors but also David Murdoch the violin maker/dealer who had taught us about the history of violins. I was also inspired by the impressive quartet Stringfever, which the course have allowed us to see their concert. I have had the most enjoyable experience on the course and would like to thank Pembroke House who had arranged for me to do the course."
