Welcome to Pembroke House
Pembroke House was founded in 1885 by students from Pembroke College, Cambridge to be a centre for social action in Walworth, which was then and remains, one of London's poorest communities.
New Warden of Pembroke House and Vicar of St Christopher's!
The Trustees of Pembroke House and the Bishop of Woolwich are very pleased to announce that the Reverend David Evans has been appointed as the next Vicar of St Christopher's, Walworth and Warden of Pembroke House. Father David said:
"I’m enormously excited about starting work at St Christopher’s and Pembroke House. So many people have put so much time, care and money into making the place what it is today and now the task is to use our fabulous resources to make even more of a difference to the lives of those we seek to serve. I pray that St Christopher’s will continue to grow in depth, in passion and in numbers, and that Pembroke House will bubble with welcome, healing, creativity and community-building."
Father David will take up post as Vicar & Warden in September.
