Pembroke House

Pembroke House is the original building of the Pembroke House settlement. Located at 80 Tatum Street, SE17, it is home to a variety of community activities for all ages. The three main activities are Lunch Club (a weekly lunch club for seniors), the Pembroke Academy of Music (a music education programme) and IntoUniversity (a tutoring and academic support programme). It also hosts other regular and occassional activities such as a ballet class and a sewing club.

It is also home to St Christopher’s Church. Pembroke House was originally established as a Christian mission, which included a small chapel that has since become St Christopher’s. Pembroke House and St Christopher’s are now separate organisations, but continue to collaborate closely. Mother Ellen Eames is the Vicar of St Christopher’s Church and maintains a position as the Warden of Pembroke House.
