Last week Pembroke House launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise £10,000 for the Pembroke Academy of Music (PAM).  We need your help to make it a success!

For many children, consistent access to music education is becoming increasingly difficult. The cost of lessons, instruments, exams and ensemble opportunities means that sustained musical training is often out of reach.

PAM exists to address this gap.

PAM offers young people in and around Walworth the opportunity to receive high-quality instrumental music education at a minimal cost. For years, PAM has helped young people discover music, build confidence, and build community through creativity. 

However, rising costs and a challenging fundraising environment mean we can no longer sustain our current model and are facing the possibility of reducing the offer in the coming school year. 

We need your support to keep PAM going.

With trust and foundation funding increasingly hard to come by, PAM needs the support of people who share our belief that music is for everyone and who want to make an ongoing commitment to PAM students. A monthly or annual donation will help PAM both survive and thrive. And if you donate now, your contribution will be matched pound for pound thanks to the generous support of a match funder (up to £1,000), doubling your impact and helping us reach our goal faster.

PAM offers young people a unique musical experience. Each week, around 50 children aged 7–14 in Southwark come together at PAM to enjoy small group instrument lessons alongside musicianship, composition, choir and ensemble work. In addition to the lessons, PAM offers them the opportunity to take music exams, attend concerts, visit Pembroke College and perform locally. Instruments are provided free of charge for children to take home and practise between sessions.
